I’ll be flat out clear. The PSP 3000 isnt worth buying really if you already have one. I just cant see a reason why someone would want to use skype on the PSP. It doesnt even have that great of battery life so if you just left it on with wi-fi, it woud die within 2 hours. The majority of Wi-fi access points these days are all secure. It would be better if they just release a psp phone. The good thing is that you can use it with Online Play but the majority of games they have dont even offer online play or voice support.

Perhaps they’re working out a deal with publishers and developers to include more online play and voice chat. That’s good.

The reason the PSP 2000 was worth the upgrade was because it was slimmer, lighter, faster, and included more themes.  All the PSP 3000 offers is an embedded microphone and a brighter screen. But i’m sure most people believe the screen on the PSP 2000 is colorful and bright enough for pictures and videos. Instead of it being PSP 3000, it should have been called PSP 2500

It’s a beautiful piece of software. From the image it looks like it has the keyboard buttons have a high glossy touch on it. That’s nice. But finger prints would annoy me since I like keeping my electronics clean. This can come in handy for everyone. I know for sure i’ll be using it. I send so many messages to people

when i’m playing Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection Online. I hate having to use T9. It aggrevates me because everytime i type it takes me over to the word selection.

I wonder what it feels like in your hands though. Will it make the Playstation controller heavy? Will it always work? Does it drain the controllers battery quicker? I guess this i’ll get the answers when I actually get it. Price has been unspecified. What do you think of this new accessory?

PlayTV is almost here!!!!! Sadly not for US owners. I think Sony should sell a DVR attachment for the US owners. It’s the closest thing that comes towards the PlayTV.  If they released it, then it would sell like hot cakes. Sadly I dont think they’ll do that. We will have to just make use of the Playstation movie download store which i’m ok with. I dont watch much TV but i’m sure alot of other people do. One thing Europeans better do is upgrade their Playstation hard drives. Especially if they plan to record HD content.

Play TV is an external device for Playstation 3 that allows European owners to watch record SD and HD television. What you record is stored on the Playstation 3 and you can use your PSP to stream your recordings through remote play.

Well with the exception of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare most Xbox users arent playing their videogames online.  OXM did a study and played a few games xbox 360 games online that had decent popularity. To their surprise the amount of people who played those games were very small. The list of games played is listed below

1. Smackdown Vs Raw
2. Fifa 06: Road to the World cup
3. F.E.A.R
4. BRIAN LARA INTERNATIONAL CRICKET
5. Tenchu Z
6. World Championship Poker
7. Blitz the League
8. Dead or Alive Xtreme 2
9. Marvel Ultimate Alliance
10. World Championship Snooker 2007

While I expected some of those games to have dead communities, I didnt really expect to see FEAR or Marvel Ultimate Alliance. If he did more of the up to date games out there I wonder if he would have found more players. Ever since Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 was released those have been the only games recently everybody talks about playing online.

I would have to say Playstation has more online players than Xbox players. I mean people still play Warhawk and Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection Online. Those were games that came quite a while ago. You can compare Tekken 5 with Dead or Alive (which was on the above list).

So what exactly are these 360 users doing? I know for sure all 20 million of them aren’t playing Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. Are they still even playing the console? Were they converted to Playstation 3 users? Do they not want to pay for Online Play? Are their consoles still broken and at the factory repair shop? Microsoft may have the lead in console sales but they dont have people who play online.

Today Sony released their home beta today. Anybody interested in joining needs to download the Playstation Home Theme. It’s available on the Playstation store. You won’t get immediate access to the Home beta. It’s just a way for you to sign up as a beta tester. Hope to see you all there.
