These past two speeches from Hillary and Bill Clinton have been the greatest speeches that I’ve heard them say this entire year. They have completely thrown their support behind Obama and there was no hints or body language signs that they dont want him to win. What will the media say about the Clintons now? Perhaps they can shut up talking about them and spend more of the time that they normallly spend talking about the clintons towards John McCain. That would definitely shut John McCain up on his message saying the media is favoring Obama by giving him more coverage. It would also shut Jack Cafferty up on CNN who sits on his ass all day asking people questions about the Clintons to comment on his blog.
However knowing the media, like MSNBC’s Chris Matthews they will continue to do shows about HIllarys message. Here’s an example of what you might see on next weeks “Hardball with Chris Matthews”.
‘The Clintons have shown that they’ve thrown their full support behind Obama but, did Hillary Clinton do a good enough job convincing her dedicated hardcore supporters to vote for Obama?’
I’m sure we’ll see that. Also Here is a question that we might see on CNN’s Jack Caffertys blog.
‘Heres the question: Do you think the hardcore Clinton supporters believe Hillary and Bill met what they said in their speeches even though there was no sign that they didnt?’
Lets face it, without Hillary in the view, there really is nothing exciting to report about. They keep talking about her because they have no other interesting stories. I have a question though. What do you think the media will say about the Clintons from here on out?
This is directly aimed at HIllary Pumas. First I want to say you’ve done a great job with your protests to get Hillarys name put on the ballot at the August 25th convention. Congratulations. You have all shown that speaking out makes a difference. But now is the time for you guys and all of us to unite. I know you wanted Hillary to be the nominee. I wanted her to be the nominee. I donated a lot of money ($40) too. Over the months as I continued to watch the media coverage I saw how everybody was beginning to talk more and more about Obama and less about McCain. That kind of tempted me to just vote for McCain on election day because of how bullish and biased the media was being. But i’m not going to do that because Hillary asked me to vote for Obama. Then the news came that she was getting her name placed at the convention for a roll call vote. I expected you PUMAs to end it right there.
What I didnt expect was that some of you still weren’t pleased with the results and are going to fight on to get her nominated.
Ok if you guys succeed at getting her nominated then you will hurt Hillary in the long run for the following reasons:
1. There is only a small percentage of PUMA’s vs the other people that want Obama to win.
2. If you succeeded then everybody who backed Obama will then turn around and probably not vote.
3. Hillary would lose the general election and then her claim “I’m the stronger candidate to take on John McCain” would be a lie.
4. The democratic party would definitely not be unified.
My point is that if you get her nominated, then you weren’t thinking about Hillary or anybody else. You were thinking only about yourselves. You arent looking that far into the future PUMAs. Most PUMA’s are happy that she gets a roll call vote. But for those of you who arent, I think its time to get your act together NOW. Please. For the sake of Hillary. Do it for her and for me. I (Chris Franklin) was a Hillary Clinton supporter. I’m backing Barack Obama not because I like him. But because Hillary asked me to vote for him.
FYI your not doing want HIllary wants if you dont want him to get elected. She’s done all this for you and now she’s asking you to do something for her and your going against it?? I just dont get it.
Chris.
